Description
Autumn Blaze® Maple is one of the most popular fast-growing shade trees, combining the desirable characteristics of both red and silver maple. Known for its rapid growth, attractive form, and brilliant fall color, this hybrid has become a favorite for landscapes throughout the Midwest.
Its ascending branches create a strong, attractive structure with a dense oval canopy. Rich green, deeply lobed foliage provides excellent summer shade before transforming into brilliant orange-red in fall. Autumn Blaze® is highly adaptable and can grow in most soil types, while established trees have good drought tolerance.
Selected as the 1997 Iowa Tree of the Year and the 2004 Urban Tree of the Year by the Society of Municipal Arborists, Autumn Blaze® is an excellent choice for lawns, parks, streets, and larger landscapes.
