Description

Description

Northern Pin Oak is a hardy native oak known for its adaptability, attractive form, and spectacular red fall color. It is particularly well suited to sandy, acidic soils but is more tolerant of heavy soils and alkaline conditions than traditional Pin Oak, making it a versatile choice for a variety of landscape settings.

Young trees have a naturally conical shape that gradually develops into a broad, rounded oval canopy as the tree matures. Glossy green foliage provides attractive summer interest before turning brilliant shades of red in fall.

Northern Pin Oak makes an excellent specimen tree for lawns, boulevards, parks, and larger landscapes. Its native heritage and adaptability make it a dependable choice for Midwest landscapes.
