Description
Pink Spires Crabapple is an excellent narrow, upright flowering crabapple that is especially well suited for confined spaces, borders, and screening. Selected by W. L. Kerr of the Canada Department of Agriculture in Sutherland, Saskatchewan, this hardy variety is known for its attractive rosy-pink blooms and colorful foliage throughout the growing season.
The foliage emerges a striking red-purple in spring, matures to a green-bronze color during summer, and changes to warm copper tones in fall. Its narrow growth habit makes Pink Spires an excellent choice where a smaller footprint is desired without sacrificing height or seasonal interest.
